Many storage facilities schedule rent increases from the day you move in, with another hike a few months later. We don't believe that's fair. At Newcastle Self Storage, your rate is frozen for the first 6 months from your move-in date. It's an industry-first commitment, so you can plan your budget with confidence. Unfortunately, this doesn't apply to opening specials, that really would be too good to be true!

We keep sizing simple - three core indoor options plus vehicle and warehouse spaces. ● Half Garage (~9m²) - fits a small 1-bed apartment, the contents of a large bedroom, or business stock and archives. ● Small Car Garage (~12–15m²) - fits a small 2-bed home or a single car's worth of contents and gear. ● Warehouse (32m² to 100m²+) - fits a 3–4-bed home, business inventory, e-commerce stock, or a vehicle plus belongings. Drive-up options available. ● Car, boat and caravan storage - secure hardstand yard space and shipping container options for vehicles and trailers. Not sure? Many Newcastle facilities advertise 24/7 access. We've found that 5 am–9 pm, 7 days a week, covers almost every real-world need - including early-start tradies and post-work move-ins - without the security risk of an unstaffed overnight site.

The site is gated with a PIN-controlled electric gate, monitored by 24/7 CCTV, and protected by an infrared motion-detection alarm with back-to-base monitoring. You hold the only key to your own padlock, and your gate PIN is yours alone - even our staff can't access your unit. Local staff are on site during office hours.

No lock-in. Storage is month-to-month with a one-month minimum. To vacate, give 14 days' notice and any unused rent is refunded. Whether you need short-term space for a renovation or long-term storage for business inventory, you only pay for the time you use.

Prices start at $280/month for a 9 m² unit (Half Garage). Larger sizes - Small Car Garage, Warehouse, and vehicle/boat/caravan spaces - are all priced live on the unit grid above. Every unit shows the exact monthly rate before you book, and your price is frozen for the first 6 months under our Price Freeze Promise.

We offer a range of flexible storage solutions to suit both personal and business needs - including secure self storage units (coming soon!), drive-up warehouse spaces and hardstand yard parking/storage in our secure compound for vehicles, boats, caravans, equipment and containers. Our Mobile Storage service will launch soon, giving you even more convenient and cost effective ways to store. We also sell padlocks & a variety of other items that you might need for packing and moving.

You cannot store flammable, explosive or dangerous goods, perishable items (such as food), stolen or illegal goods, or any materials that are environmentally harmful. If you're unsure about a specific item, call 02 4969 2559.

We recommend it. Most home contents insurance policies can be extended to cover items in self-storage - ask your insurer. We don't insure your goods directly, so the cover is your responsibility. Many of our customers simply extend their existing home and contents policy.

Payments are made monthly in advance (i.e on the 1st of the month, for that current month). You can pay by direct debit from a bank account (free) or credit card (1.5% surcharge). Payment is set up online when you book or in person when you sign up.

Minimise handling, we bring the storage to you! We can deliver our mobile storage Pods throughout Newcastle and Lake Macquarie, allowing you to: 1. Pack at your location, 2. Have the Pod securely stored (where you can access as needed during site opening hours), 3. Transport to your new destination (..great if you don’t want to hire a truck or removalist!). Our Mobile Storage Pods measure 1.8m wide x 2.2m deep x 2.1m high (volume approx. 8m3). Perfect for moves, renovations and general storage needs.
